Ground-breaking Ceremony
Welcome to Christian County Middle School's Community Garden website.
Our mission is to change our world in any positive way that we can, one plant at a time.
This is a service-learning based STEM project that is meant to provide a service to members of our community. The garden will fill a need and has the potential to grow for years to come.
We have partnered with Salvation Army to provide food resources and help with their growing numbers;
they serve approximately 280 meals per day, which is an average of 1,960 meals per week. We have also partnered with Southern States, who have graciously provided us with unlimited seeds, for now and in the future. We donate our produce to senior citizen homes such as Edgewood, Covington, Chapel House, and Friendship House.

Here, the students of Christian County Middle School use their tools to "break ground" on the new community garden by building new raised garden beds.
